Mark Schrenko studied industrial design and multimedia sculpture at Syracuse University, where he built his own path between the two. A decade-long detour into corporate IT followed, before he returned to what he had always wanted to do: functional sculpture, made by hand.

From his studio in Los Angeles, he designs and fabricates sculptural furniture in concrete, from the drawing to the mold to the finished piece. His Lefty chaise debuted at MASS Beverly during Frieze Week 2020, and his work has appeared twice in Architectural Digest, including a custom concrete banquette for John Lautner’s Garcia House. Today, alongside private commissions, he is looking to bring the Lefty into production with the right manufacturing partner.
